I say these things not only as a regular person, but also as a retired respiratory therapist who has knowledge and experience to recognize you've been practicing your specialty correctly AND admirably. No one deserves the kind of treatment Houston Methodist and Boom have done to you, and you especially do not deserve it.

I had to fight Methodist like hell to get my husband adequate care during COVID in 2020. He ended up with COPD because of inadequate treatment. Big pharma owns our Legislators, our doctors and our hospitals. I pray Dr. Bowden wins and thank God for her strength and courage!

I had COVID and was in the hospital for a week. What the two doctors who treated me told me privately vs what they said with others in the room was remarkable. COVID is deadly serious - at least the form I had and its effect on me - but it was clear from the providers standpoint that there was a huge scam or game going on that had nothing to do with treating the disease. From the first day, they wanted to give me Remdesivir, but said I "didn't fit the profile" and they needed to get permission from the Public Health people. Public Health people? On day 4, the doctor basically said, "screw it" and gave it to me anyway. Within hours, I was feeling better. Three more doses, my BP returned to normal, and I was out.
This changed my entire view of how our health care is being run in this country - there is far too much top down control, and most of it fails rigorous scientific scrutiny. People who never saw me were in charge of what I could get for treatment? It was one thing when it was an insurance company providing a service I paid for, with *some* accountability, but these are government people with zero accountability. In previous medical encounters, I had one provider tell me, "Well, we don't know for sure if this will work, but try this drug. Call me in 3 days." It did work, and I was told to finish the course and let him know if it came back. It didn't.
My principle training is in troubleshooting complex systems - basically the scientific method set in practical terms (Troubleshooting: lay out the symptoms, define the problem, construct a theory that explains the symptoms, design a test of the theory, analyze the results. Rinse and repeat). Reading many of these "studies" the flaws are glaring. Many others suggest conclusions that go against the narrative but then are ignored. Or worse, some appear to be designed to fail. It really appears that our medical service delivery, which used to be "evidence-based medicine" not that long ago has been compromised with bureaucracy, narratives, mergers, and control of money & resources. Anyone who doesn't fall in line gets publicly shamed and humiliated in order to dissuade others who might be thinking heterodox ideas. The advancement of science largely STARTS with heterodox ideas. What do you conclude if the ones in control, unaccountable policy makers & bureaucrats, are actively suppressing our ability to advance science - in the name of science?
I hope your lawyers are real junkyard dogs (and I mean that in the nicest way possible) but go for the jugular on these cretins.
This Doctor is a hero, a beautiful soul, My heart hurts for the pain this unjust crooked world has put on her, I live in Missouri wish she was my wife's doctor. I love you Doctor!
They'll need to settle this matter, pre-discovery. They really don't need their "science" to come to light. Including but not limited to ventilator compensation.

So, I'm an outsider. I felt pains in abdomen. I said to myself if this is serious I CAN'T go to hospital. Fortunately, it went away.
But I don't trust hospitals. Ventilators, remdesivir etc...
I wish I could find a doctor like Dr. Bowden up in Austin.
Hell, I'd go with a vet or Breaking Bad doctor.
