As a former RN of 20 years ( not in TX) , my eyes have definitely been opened and unfortunately I am glad I do not work in healthcare anymore. To me, it’s called “stay sick care” and NOT healthcare. I loved being a nurse and people deserve to be taken care of in honest , compassionate ways, not through the lens of money and greed. That’s not God’s calling.
I concur! I am a retired RN and the landscape in no way reflects the values and education I experienced in my career. It is frightening. Have you noticed that RNs are nearly extinct in out of hospital healthcare? Assistants have replaced educated and skilled nurses nearly everywhere but schools and hospitals. It is so sad.
This is such an eye opening post. It illustrates my concerns re: the changing healthcare landscape where loving care is gone and ideological shifting is the goal. The ultimate outcome is to make healthcare whatever the activists want it to be...and most of us cringe at the thought. Texas Children's should be the last place concerned parents take their ill children. God help us. I once felt the very opposite. We need a whole network of "alternate" healthcare professionals and practitioners that are known to be trustworthy in sharing traditional values and common sense medical approaches. Keep up the fight and keep us updated.
No matter how I feel about my sexuality/body, I would never let them cut me up for what is medically elective surgery. The risks are just too high. Nor would I ever take a prescription drug. Finally, why exist to be milked for profit, to buy a doctors fancy car or 2nd vacation house. When these surgeries run into complications later, as they often do, those doctors will seldom be held accountable.
Now take a look at the AMA. During the COVID nonsense, I looked into the AMA hierarchy. It was very telling when you see who was brought in @2010 as CEO to begin preparing the medical profession for its ultimate fusion with climate change, etc. as a means to shift the paradigm to the technologies via the WHO.
Sadly, the forced march towards the tech overlords structuring us and society within their AI constructs and algorithms is not unique to healthcare. It is underway in education, energy, finance, etc. Same playbook.

That said, decades ago, after only minimal interactions with white coats, I began to suspect...that there was something wrong with them...I began to evolve toward a viewpoint of doing everything possible to avoid them -- all of them, including the real weirdos, gynecologists -- at all costs.
Living through the last four years and reading this description of where doctors and "healthcare" have "evolved to," I feel completely vindicated in my nearly 40-year old assessment: "There's something wrong with them. Really wrong with them..." And that was then!!!
Now??? With rare, rare exception, they're certifiably a danger to us all. Dr. Bowden's direct personal experience and the country's prove it far beyond a reasonable doubt.
I was a member of the TMA and TCMS for many years before I retired in 2001 because like Dr. Bowden I needed the TMLT insurance. Back then the TMA was a pretty reasonable organization but now it is run by a bunch of woke anti-science fascists. I quit the TMA when I retired and they will never get another nickel from me.
I am Dr Haim’s father-in-law and also a physician (pathologist).Thanks for your support and advocacy for him and your work in exposing the evil that defines these gender “affirming treatments and the individual doctors and entrenched, powerful organizations behind this abominable practice.
Also, your stand against the mandated vaccines, masks and lockdowns was courageous and served as an inspiration to those of us fighting against these unscientific, disastrous policies in our own hospitals and communities.
This is a fantastic, fact-based article, and I appreciate that you have named the individuals involved, making it more difficult to hide behind institutions and oxymoronic platitudes that make them sound like they are the caring doctors rather than the unethical criminals that they really are.
I haven’t been a member of AMA/TMA since I finished residency almost 30 yrs ago because even at the time they were starting to take left-leaning positions.
